From Chicago
to the Strip

The Faded began in the midwest and found their voice in Los Angeles, blending the darkness of eighties rock, the rawness of nineties alternative and shoegaze, and the melodic ambition of early 2000s pop into something entirely their own.

After catching the attention of a producer at Capitol Records, frontman Gene Blalock and guitarist Isao Fujita relocated from Chicago to LA, drawn by the gravity of the Sunset Strip and everything it promised.

For years The Faded were a fixture of the Strip, playing the Whisky, the Roxy, the Key Club, the House of Blues. Their shows were more than performances. Choreographed lighting, synchronized video, a full multimedia experience on a rock stage. The Hollywood Reporter took notice. So did their audiences.

The music was personal. The performances were theatrical. The band was real.
